Chain Reaction of Kindness
-This Friday through next Wednesday
-This supports area families that are in need of food.
-Cans can be brought to school in the morning and given to students who will be collecting the cans by the Christmas tree.
-Each can brought in equals one link to add to a chain to be hung in the cafeteria.
-We will break the chain on Wednesday in each of the four lunches. The person's link that is broken will receive $15.

Tutoring Opportunities are listed in Mrs. Cragin's office to sign up.
· Junior High WCJH has received a request from a parent for math tutoring for a 7th grade boy. They would like some extensive help such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday if possible.
· Middle School needs sa student to help a 2nd grade girl one day a week for 30 minutes after school.
· Middle School is needing students to help with Family Reading Night once a month on Monday's. Time will be from 3:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Dec. 10, Jan. 7, Feb. 11, March 10 and April 14
· Webster Elementary is needing a student to help a 2nd grade girl in Tina Mathis class one day a week for 30 minutes.
· Eugene Fields is needing students to help with tutoring on Monday-Thursday's. Time will be from 3:00 -4:00 p.m.
· Eugene Fields Family Reading Night: is needing students to help with the students on reading. The time is 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Nov. 29, March 6, April 22
· Mark Twain Family Reading Night: is needing students to help with the students on reading. The time is 3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Feb. 11, April 21

Subject: All-State StudentsCongratulations are in order for the following students who have earned a seat in the 2008 Missouri All-State Honor Band. Over 1100 students auditioned for the 112 piece ensemble. This is the highest honor a student can achieve in their musical career while in high school. Internationally known composer Timothy Mahr will be the guest conductor for the band. The band will perform at the Missouri Music Educators Convention January 26th at 1:00 p.m. at Tan-tar-a/Lake of the Ozarks in Salons A/B/CBecca Oetting - senior - 19th chair - Clarinet (Approximately 235 auditioned - they took 24 in the section)Taylor Tracy - senior - 1st chair - Contra Bass Clarinet (Approximately 35 auditioned - they took 2 in the section)

Junior MSSU tour
Students who are JUNIORS will be touring the MSSU campus. If your last name begins with the letter A-K, you will go on Tuesday, December 4th. If your last name begins with the letter L-Z, you will go on Wednesday, December 5th. The buses leave at 9:00 and return at 12:15. We will meet with a representative from MSSU, and you will then be divided into small groups to tour the campus. Lunch will be provided by MSSU. We will dismiss you by intercom.

Please join me in congratulating the following speech and debate students for outstanding work at the Neosho Novice 8-round invitational.
This is a tough tournament in which students are power matched causing for increasingly difficult competition as the weekend progresses. A record for 4-4 is great under these circumstances.
Policy Debate:
Kasey Ogle & Blake James placed 4th with a final record of 6-2.
Preston Reynolds & Nicholas Carter with a final record of 4-4.
Lincoln-Douglas Debate:
Diana Dominiguez placed 7th with a final record of 6-2.
