Future Teachers of America

FTA dues and shirt money are due this Friday, Oct. 26. Dues are 2 dollars and shirts are 11 dollars. Turn your money in to Mrs. Resa in Room 800. Shirt money must be turned in by this date or you will not be able to get a shirt.

STUCO Dodgeball

Mandatory meeting Tuesday October 30, 2007. @ 7:15. for anyne wanting to participate in the dodgeball tournament at the NHS/Stuco carnival November 9. $3 per person. You must assemble a 5-6 person team by the meeting. Money and list of team members must be turned in at meeting. You can pick up your team roster forms and permissionships in the office. Meeting in Cardinal Theatre.

Nov. 6th Election

Get the word out and vote in the November 6th Election. There are
several improvements coming to our school including a new Library
Media Center. So be sure to tell everyone you know to come out and
vote and if you're 18 make sure you vote!

Band results from St. Louis

The band took 1st place in prelims in their class and won Best Music
and Best Color Guard. In Finals competition, the band took 2nd (by a
point) and won Best Color Guard overall. Way to Go!

Keep it Clean

There has been a report of a lot of spills from pop and stuff
in the cafeteria before and after school. If this continues the
pop machines will be shut off by Monday.

NHS meeting

Math League / Young Republicans

Math League packets are due by October 31st. If you have not signed up or need a packet - see Mrs. Reed in 305. The team is really in need of freshman and sophomores, all are welcome, you don't have to be perfect at math.

Young Republicans will meet this Friday 10/19 at 7:15 a.m. in Room 305. We will have a guest speaker who is the youngest County Chairman in the state of Kansas. He is a fabulous speaker and has a lot of information to share. Please be there. Also - year book pictures will be taken.

On Friday, October 12, 2007 the returning state champion, undefeated football team from WEBB CITY will be traveling to St. Charles West to play. Kick off is at 7!

Attention Jr. & Sr. Honor diploma students

Attention Junior and Senior Honor diploma students:

A 6 week parenting class at Madge TJames starting Monday, Oct. 8th. Volunteers are needed to sit with children. Billie Platner and Abby Kleiboeker are the adults in charge. This activity will occur every Monday, Oct. 8-Nov. 16, except Oct. 22, from 6:00-7:30 at MTJ. If students would like to eat or help with dinner, they can come at 6:00. If they just want to help with child care, they can come at 6:25. They may meet the teachers in the cafeteria at the west door.

Speech & Debate Announcement

Free Performance Night from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM on Monday, October 8th
in Cardinal Theatre at WCHS. Students from speech & debate will
present their performance events for a live audience to prepare for
our first tournament.

FTA

I need an announcement that says it is not too late to join FTA.

Two dollar dues are due by the November 6 meeting.

The meeting will be at 7: 15 in room 800 with Mrs. Resa, due to Mrs.
Sears' absence.

There is an FTA conference they can attend on November 7, and they
must sign up for that and for a t-shirt outside of Mrs. Sears' room
801 by October 12. The cost for the t-shirt is $11.
