Book Drive

This is for Monday so this needs to Be created Thursday 2/28 while I'm Gone
(Adam and Ryan, you two can do this one -- Mr. White)
-- If either of these guys aren't here, people in both R3 & R4 need to team up to BE SURE IT GETS DONE.
No one will be happy if this does not get done...

This is a script / outline given to us and we can follow it easily - I've added notes to help you all:

Scrolling Text of these statistics and facts across the screen in black and white:
(Dramatic Music with a Beat -- "Street Staxx" on Stockmedia or "Bangin Beats" on Freeplay)

80 percent of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year.
70 percent of U.S. families have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.
Each day in the U.S., people spend, on average, 4 hours watching T.V. and 3 hours listening to music.

Outline or Boris Text with Voiceover of dialogue below:
(Music Continues - Just put key words on screen - not whole phrases)

"Not surprisingly, research reveals that the differences in students' exposure to reading has a profound impact on their academic success."

"What can we do?"

(Show a few shots of students reading / working from Community Breakfast footage)

Outline or Boris Text with Voiceover of dialogue below:
(New Music - Pick a Different Song that you all like - can be off a cd - still should have a Beat - something we'll like to hear)

"The literacy committee, in conjunction with FTA and other interested students, would like to announce a BOOK DRIVE that will kick off on March 3rd, the National "Read Across America" date!"

"Students will be asked to donate a children's book (or more than one, if they wish!) to reach a target goal.  These books will then be delivered to students in the Webb City District elementary schools to promote the important skills of reading."

"More information will follow each day with the details of this project."

"Give the gift of knowledge!"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adam & Ryan -- I know this is a long one but I want to see it done and high quality by the end of the day. It should be ready to play Friday. Do your best -- use good music and dramatic Titles / shots / Motion Graphics / Sound FX -- to make this interesting. Keep it under 60 seconds.
- It's important to sound like you care in the Dialogue - I know you all can do a good job.

Stuco Elections

Here is what I would like to have it say.  "Would you like to make a difference in our school? Do you have great ideas?  If so, then you should run for Student Council Representative.  You are eligible if you have good attendance, a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and at least a "C" cumulative GPA.  Election packets will be available Monday, February 11.  See Mrs. Beem in room 403 for more information."

It can just be text on the screen with someone reading it, I am not looking for anything complex.  It might be fun to have a background that looks like real election information.

Needs to be on by Friday

play

Hi.  I hope you all get a chance to come see the children's play tomorrow night at 7:00 here at the high school.  It is titled The Curse of The Lost Tomb and the students are really doing a nice job with it.  For those of you who have never had a chance to make it to one of these, you should know that the students really get a big kick out of seeing their teachers here supporting them.  It's always a lot of fun and hopefully you will get a chance to see it.  And if you see any of the students involved, please wish them "Break a leg!"
Theatrically yours,
