Attention current 10th and 11th graders!!!

Missouri State University is hosting the 3 week summer academy  2010 Missouri Innovation Academy.

NO COST  to the students who are selected. Scholarships will cover the $5,000 cost which includes housing, meals, field trips, equipment, and supplies for the academy.

Must be interested in technology, research, entrepreneurship, marketing, mathematics, sensors and computer programming.

You must live in Missouri, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or be in the upper half of your class.  Thirty students will be selected to attend this summer's academy.

Contact Mrs. Terry Rose as soon as possible if you are interested.  The application is lengthy and is due Feb. 1, 2010.

It costs $1,650.    All applications must be accompanied by a nonrefundable $50 application fee.  The academy will take place July 5-31st , 2010.  

Concentrated programs are designed to further students' knowledge in the science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computing fields.

THERE IS REFERENCE ON THE APPLICATION TO THE ABILITY TO EARN HIGH SCHOOL CREDITS.  AT THIS TIME, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT EARNED CREDITS WOULD BE APPLICABLE AT WCHS.

Application deadline is March 31, 2010.

Seniors

Seniors need to sign up for Project Grad by giving their t-shirt size to Mrs. Reed in room 305.  Also, don't forget to bring pictures for the senior slide show, see a lime green poster or Mrs. Reed if you have questions.
